Alan Watson is a painter, photographer, assemblage artist and printmaker living and working in Detroit.

Over his artistic career, Watson has shown in galleries across the Midwest and is represented in collections nationwide. His work is informed by the rich yet dichotomous experience of living in Michigan. In his work, Watson incorporates the post-industrial grittiness of the inner city with the natural beauty of the Great Lakes. His works embody this dynamic.
